For more than forty years, Kirk Hammett has been a dedicated ESP Guitars fan, and with the freshly sharpened ESP LTD KH-V six-string, his Signature Series has just been expanded by a game-changer of a model. The V body shape has been directly based on Hammett's personal ESP USA guitar and is available for the first time under the ESP LTD banner. Here, it comes coated in a singular paint-job that starts at the sharp lower wing and ends at the pointed tip of the headstock, which has been appropriately stamped with Kirk's signature. This battle-ready axe comes tucked up in its very own deluxe form-fit hard case.

The formidable core of the ESP LTD KH-V is formed by a solid korina wood body loaded with a full set of EMG Bone Breaker pickups. This chunky pair of active humbuckers are backed up by a custom preamp to guarantee crystal-clarity that doesn't compromise on any of the necessary gain. The result is a widely flexible sonic base that can spit everything from ultra-tight rhythms to warm and elastic leads and, thanks to the mounted TonePros Locking TOM bridge, the string-through-body setup and the LTD locking machine heads, every bit of it is supported by stability, resonance and impressive sustain.

A Mega-Fast Neck

The ESP LTD KH-V has also been given a clean, neck-through-body construction to give the fret-hand a clear path to every last one of the twenty-four extra-jumbo frets lined up along the Macassar ebony fretboard. The modern 13.75 inch fretboard radius helps to further lighten the load by reducing the string tension a touch and eliminating note death. And, just like all the Kirk Hammett Signature models that came before it, the KH-V has been kitted out with the mega-fast playability of an extra-thin U-profile neck.
