Metallica's Kirk Hammett has long been associated with renowned Japanese guitar brand ESP LTD. The KH-602 is his latest signature electric guitar and this model is based on the ESP Custom he often plays on stage. It has a comfortable alder body and is equipped with versatile EMG KH Bone Breaker active humbucker pickups that are capable of delivering crystal-clear cleans as well as brutal overdrive.
The KH-602 PSP: Optimal playing comfort
The neck-thru-body construction ensures optimal resonance and sustain, and also makes each of the 24 XJ frets on the deluxe ebony fretboard easily accessible. Like all the other Mirage models in the Kirk Hammett Signature series, this Purple Sparkle version also has a neck with an extra thin U profile. Naturally, there's a stable Floyd Rose double locking tremolo bridge on board as well.
