Alex Wade, guitarist and songwriter for deathcore giants Whitechapel from Tennessee, is known for his rich tone and energetic performances. Of course, he needs a professional instrument he knows he can rely on. That's why ESP LTD developed the AW-7B with its classy Padauk Brown Satin finish. It's a a seven-string baritone guitar with a fixed bridge and powerful DiMarzio D-Activator humbuckers - everything you'd need for a sleek but brutal sound!

AW-7B Alex Wade Signature: optimal comfort

Thanks to its neck-through-body construction, you get full access to the ebony fingerboard with 24 XJ frets. The whole thing is finished with a satin lacquer, making the neck feel lightning-quick and more resistant to sweaty hands. Also noteworthy is the 26.5" scale length, which is especially apparent in the greater tension on the lower strings, making it easier to play certain riffs. Of course, the fixed bridge helps keeps it all in tune.

The ESP brand

In 1975, Hisatake Shibuya opened his Electric Sound Products shop in Japan. His high-quality replacement parts soon earned him the reputation he deserved, and it wasn't long before the shop started to turn out its very own guitars under the name ESP. In the 1980s, the brand got a real boost when numerous metal bands, such as Metallica, started to use its guitars.
