Allmänt
The AEL models have the largest acoustic guitar body in Ibanez's range. The larger body also means that the volume produced is quite impressive. A spruce top and mahogany sides and back produce a sparkling, balanced sound. With a built-in preamp and pickup, the Ibanez AELBT1-NT feels right at home on bigger stages.
Construction
As already mentioned, the body of the AELBT1-NT consists of a spruce top with mahogany sides and back. This combination of wood types not only looks good, they complement each other perfectly when it comes to the sound they produce. Spruce offers a sparkling sound with clear trebles, while the mahogany adds warmth and great sustain. The 21-fret rosewood fretboard on the mahogany neck adds an extra layer of warmth to the overall sound too. The natural finish gives the guitar a classic, timeless look.
The amplified sound
For amplification, the AELBT1 baritone makes use of a Fishman piëzo pickup and an Ibanez AEQ-SP1 preamp. This combination won't interfere with the natural bright sound of the guitar; however, if the situation calls for it, you can adjust the tone with the built-in 3-band equaliser. For those who grace the stage often, there is an XLR output, which offers even more flexibility when it comes to connecting your instrument. Whether its amplified or not, the AELBT1 offers top quality at very reasonable price.
