The TE-6MH is a steel-string acoustic guitar from the Crafter Maho Top Series. As the name may suggest, not only the back and sides but the top of this instrument have been made using solid mahogany. The fine and detailed grain of the wood is not only allowed to show through the veneer but lends this guitar its particular depth and warmth, especially when played with a plectrum.

The neck of the Crafter TE6 has also been shaped from mahogany and finished with a rosewood fingerboard and 21 frets. A little slimmer around the waist than a standard deadnought, the orchestra-model body of this guitar delivers round basses, rich mids and sweet trebles; the overall warmth of which is compensated for by bright accents and direct sound and, so that each of the 21 frets can be reached, the TE-6 has a deep and accommodating cutaway.

The L.R. Baggs Pickup

The electronics of the TE-6MH is made up of a Crafter developed LR-T TV preamp combined with an L.R. Baggs piëzo pickup. To dial in your amplified tone, the preamp offers a volume control, 3-band EQ, a presence control and, using the Phase button, you can avoid the unwanted interruption of onstage feedback. Lastly, the built-in tuner gives you direct tuning access without having to stare at a tuning pedal at your feet.
