The Yamaha NCX900R is a professional solid-top nylon-string classical electro-acoustic guitar equipped with the same advanced electronics as Yamaha's electro-acoustic western guitars. There's no need to fuss with separate microphones in the studio or on stage anymore! NCX900R: solid-top classical guitar with ARE technology

The NCX900R has a solid sitka spruce top and beautifully grained rosewood sides and back that deliver a sound that's full and balanced with deep, tight lows, clear mids and sweet highs. The comfortable 52mm-wide nato bridge is equipped with a 19-fret fingerboard which, thanks to the cutaway, is easy to play over its entire range. A special characteristic of the Yamaha NCX900R is the special ARE wood treatment technology. This treatment processes the wood under precisely controlled temperature, moisture and pressure, resulting in optimally settled wood that has the same warmth, clarity and resonance as that of a vintage guitar that's been played for years.

Exclusive ART pickups and System61 preamplifier

The amplification of the NCX900R is the responsibility of two piezo pickups--one on the treble side and one on the bass side of the bridge. The Acoustic Resonance Transducer pickups pick up the vibrations directly from the underside of the top, so that the reproduced sound stays true to the original acoustic sound. Distortion won't happen as easily with this setup because the pickups don't have any problems adjusting to sudden changes in the dynamics of your playing. Influence the timbre of the total sound with the 3-band EQ on the built-in System61 preamplifier. With the 2-way system you can adjust the volume of the bass and treble pickups individually for even more detail and refinement. The preamp is also equipped with a digital chromatic tuner so you can tune your guitar quickly and easily no matter where you are.
