Zildjian's A0623 Oriental Crash of Doom is a unique 22-inch crash cymbal with a sound that lies somewhere between a crash, a china and a ride, making it suitable for a wide range of music styles. Its sound can best be described as dark, ultra-trashy and low with lots of sustain and an impressive volume. Zildjian came up with the Oriental Crash of Doom after Dennis Chambers challenged them to make an exceptionally trashy-sounding cymbal like one he'd found in China. This crash cymbal that is made of B20 alloy has been hammered by hand and has a thin weight with a traditional finish.
