We were already familiar with the RGBW4C controller but we hadn't yet seen it without a DMX output. The funny thing is, this WiFly controller doesn't need a DMX output as it sends out its data wirelessly to all your WiFly DMX effects. Additionally, your conventional DMX lighting can be fitted with a WiFly Transceiver so you can leave all those DMX cables at home.

Technology and concept of the WiFly RGBW8C controller

This controller isn't just any basic controller for a single fixture or a group of fixtures as it can control different fixtures or groups of them via numerous presets. You can let the light on the dance floor change colour more quickly, while the other lights run a calm colour-fade program and the fixture at the entrance projects a stylish fixed colour. The advantage of a central control point is that you can easily keep command over your lights, but also that every group of fixtures is synchronised. The WiFly RGBW8C transmits on the 2.8GHz band and has a reach of up to 90 metres when it is not hindered by walls or objects.

Functions of the controller

The big advantage of the RGBW8C is that you don't need to waste time programming or remembering certain fun colour combos. The RGBW8C features built-in colour presets that you can easily run, whether you work with RGBW, RGBA or RGB fixtures. Moreover, you can also save three of your own user presets. Additionally, it features several built-in chases, a strobe function and manual colour blending per group. When a chase is running, the R, G and B faders function as faders for speed, fade time and master dimmer.
