This hand-painted edition of the Z.Vex Box of Metal nudges your sound to the edge of a ravine, brutally throws it off and then laughs. High-gain sound 'a-la' high-gain hot tube amplifiers made famous in the '80s and unmissable in any self-respecting hard-rock and metal sound - that's what you're getting when you stick this fierce stompbox on your board. A quiet switchable gate-function is also a welcome treat. Use it in combination with the distortion, and you can effectively fight the good fight against unwanted noise and feedback between muted chords and solo phrases. And, just to be sure, a 3-band EQ section has also been provided.

The founder of Z-Vex Effects, Zachary Vex, is no stranger to the land of innovative effect building - in fact he's renowned. By mounting one of these hand-painted stompboxes onto your board, you're joining forces with the many revered guitarists who have done it before you. Each pedal has been handmade by Zachary's self-appointed elves (so he says), and while these hand-painted editions are much sought after, you can also get your grubby mitts on the same sound quality from the screen-printed Vexter Series pedals for a little less cash.
