The HK Audio PULSAR PL 118 Sub A is an active subwoofer from HK's PULSAR series. It is equipped with an 18-inch woofer that is driven by a built-in 600-watt digital amplifier. The cabinet is made of birch plywood fitted with rugged synthetic edges to ensure that the subwoofer isn't easily damaged and will last you a long time. HK Audio's PULSAR series is comprised of products that all mutually combine perfectly, making it suitable for virtually anyone, as you can size the system up or down to suit your need. For instance, you can create a 2.1 sound setup that consists of a PL 118 subwoofer with two PL 112 satellites or a half-stack or full-stack PA.

Great foundation

As the construction of the cabinet is perfectly attuned to the woofer with a bass reflex port, this speaker produces a powerful, highly pronounced bass sound. The relatively shallow subwoofer is capable of producing a quick sub-bass, making it an attractive addition for DJ and larger live PA setups. The input section on the back of the PL 118 Sub A allows you to connect a stereo input signal that is divided between the satellites and the subwoofer by a built-in crossover. A switch that allows you to configure the overall setup and a switch for the phase settings are the cherries on top.
