Improving the sound of a kick drum can be done in a number of ways. One of these ways includes dependable sound isolation to make sure the sound doesn't bleed into that of the other parts of the drum kit, and the Clearsonic SKT just so happens to be a fitting solution. The isolation box is placed in front of the kick drum and consists of three S2233 panels and one S2224 panel. After it's set up, a microphone can be placed inside the box at roughly 90cm from drum, though you're also free to experiment with other set-ups, of course. It all depends on the sound you're looking for. Each Sorber panel is fire-retardant and made of fibre-glass and the SKT kit further includes six hook-and-loop fasteners.
