Fender's new F series of acoustic guitars are based on models from the '70s. This F-1000 Dreadnought is an affordable new version of a Fender classic. It has a characteristic large '70s headstock and a Viking-style bridge made of rosewood. This steel-string acoustic guitar has a beautiful finish with a high-gloss lacquer and elegant wooden inlays. It's a perfect choice for beginners as well as more advanced players.
Fender F-1000: construction and finish
The F-1000 has a body made of mahogany with a spruce top that combines with the Dreadnought shape to produce a sound that is loud, full and warm. Its comfortable C profile neck is also made of mahogany and features a rosewood fretboard with 20 frets. The 'F' inlay at the 12th fret and the inlaid Fender logo on the headstock are both made of maple.
It's the little things...
It's the little things that take this affordable steel-string guitar model to the next level compared to the competition. For instance, the string nut and the bridge saddle are both made of GraphTech Nubone, a synthetic material that is very similar to bone. The sound hole rosette is a wooden inlay and the F-1000 features cream-white bridge pins and aged chrome machine heads to complete its vintage look.
