TC Helicon's Critical Mass is a compact vocal effects pedal that gives singers the ability to instantly add more sound and atmosphere to their performances. In total, there are eight different vocal effects that can be combined with three different types of reverb. The vocal effects are split into two categories: four melodic choir styles and four gang vocal styles. Both styles make it sound like you have a large group of people singing right along with you. Not only does this make your sound fuller, but it's likely to encourage members of your audience to join in with you too!

Features

TC Helicon has kept things nice and simple, making the Critical Mass pedal easy to use. The Style knob lets you choose the vocal effect and the type, which can be Unison, Oct Up, Oct Dn or Up & Dn. Gain is adjusted automatically and there's no need to enter key or scale settings either. Phantom power is available should you wish to use the pedal with a condenser microphone. If you're using TC Helicon's MP-75, MP-76, or Sennheiser's e835, then you can control the effects directly from your microphone. Finally, you can update the Critical Mass' firmware by using the built-in USB connector and the VoiceSupport app.
