The Fender Precision Bass has a unique, powerful sound that has been a part of popular music since the fifties. Whatever genre you play, the P-Bass ensures massive sounds. This simple yet reliable workhorse has become the standard among bass guitars. The American Standard Precision Bass is the modern embodiment of the classic Fender. This edition is equipped with a first-class Custom Shop pickup and some welcome upgrades for the modern bass player. The guitar you see here has an Olympic White finish, one of Fender's most famous colours. Its neck has a rosewood fretboard that has a slightly warmer and fuller sound than a maple one. Includes luxury case and Fender accessories.
The timeless sound of the American Standard Precision Bass
The American Standard Precision Bass has just one pickup but can handle any type of music or sound. Fender have equipped it with a powerful Custom Shop '60s split single-coil with extra windings, for that coveted P-Bass sounds with added output and punch. The mids are tight and clear and the bass is deliciously fat with great drive. The American Standard P-Bass lives up to its legend! This bass guitar has a rich, deep in-your-face sound that makes it ideal for rougher types of music like rock and metal. It fills in the gaps in the mix, created by the guitarists' high gain distortion, perfectly.
Better than ever thanks to some welcome upgrades
In addition to the fantastic-sounding pickup, the American Standard Precision Bass has received several welcome upgrades. The undercoat of the paint job is a lot thinner than previously, allowing the wood of the body to breathe and resonate better. Its playability has also been improved thanks to the medium jumbo frets and a modern, flatter 9.5-inch fretboard radius. Two graphite Posiflex rods have been fitted to the neck for added strength and stability. The High Mass vintage bridge is thicker than before for a fuller tone and more sustain while retaining the classic looks. Finally, the lightweight Hipshot tuners keep the bass in optimal tuning.

Dé standaard. Ze zeggen wel dat elke bassist een Fender P-bass moet hebben. Daar ben ik het zeker mee eens. Deze American Standard heeft, zoals een echte Amerikaanse Fender betaamd, een prima afwerking. Mooi in de lak (Olympic White met de rode slagplaat is prachtig!), alle hardware netjes en glimmend verpakt met beschermende tape.
Het is een moderne bas, verrassend licht van gewicht, en veel sustain. Dat komt mede door de nieuwe Hi Mass brug (een vrij massieve brug, vergelijkbaar met de Bad Ass bridges die Fender ook veel levert). De tuners zijn lekker licht en lopen soepel. En de Custom Shop pickups klinken ook erg goed.
De bas wordt geleverd in een standaard hard shell Fender koffer, inclusief een standaard Fender strap, een (korte) Fender instrumentkabel en de nodige tools om de bas af te stellen, inclusief een duidelijke handleiding.
Kortom: een prachtig instrument. Niet meer, niet minder.

J'ai acheté cette basse en finition Pearl Jade metalic, manche Rose Wood. Je suis entièrement satisfait de cet instrument aussi bien au niveau du confort de jeu, du son que de la finition. Le cordier et les mécaniques sont superbes et offrent beaucoup de stabilité et de précision dans les réglages.
Je jouais sur Marcus Miller Jazz Bass japan et je me suis habitué très vite à cette nouvelle ergonomie.
De l'ordre du détail, ma valise ne contenait pas la clé permettant le réglage des vis longues du cordier pour l'intonation ; j'ai du en racheter une.
En fait le seul problème avec cette basse est qu'elle me donne envie d'en acheté une deuxième pour l'avoir aussi en finition maple neck.
